Innovation. We see the word all of the time. In business we gravitate toward labeling a concept to make it official. The concept becomes a trend and no one wants to be left out. Companies advertise using key buzz words to declare their innovative nature. You have to look beyond the words to the driving forces behind them. Incremental or disruptive, innovation is ignited by a single purpose or need.
For us it is about keeping our eye on the experience that the life insurance applicant has as he or she moves through the buying process. A positive applicant experience is our company’s mission and one that we rally around every day. We understand that every experience, positive or negative, can impact an applicant’s decision about whether to move forward with an insurance policy. We also know that purchasing life insurance is one of the most important decisions that an individual can make and one that can have a dramatic impact on many lives.
Over the next three weeks I will describe some of our innovations and the reasoning behind them. We never forget that behind each policy is a person making an important decision for their family’s future. That kind of decision deserves to be our top priority – and it is.
