Exam completion rate case study

by Katie Palka on July 9, 2019

One of the challenges facing the direct-to-consumer segment of the life insurance industry is improving completion percentage. Over the last year, we analyzed our client’s data to compare how and where applicants schedule exams, and measure the impact on completion rates. Three common factors emerged to demonstrate the effectiveness of utilizing some of ExamOne’s tools and solutions. Read the case study

The ExamOne ordering site allows you to manage all your needs in one place, whether you’re looking to create a case, place an order, or anything in between. It allows you to view the status for individual orders so you’re able to keep track of each moving piece required for completion. The ExamOne portal* is utilized by clients and internal support users. These users include:

  • Insurance home offices
  • Direct marketers
  • Agents
  • Agencies
  • ExamOne offices
  • Examiners

Here are a few tips and tricks for using the ExamOne ordering site:

Linking orders
Need to schedule an exam for two applicants at the same time? All users now have the ability to link orders. Users also have the ability to schedule linked orders— this means you can schedule a couple together and have the examiner complete two exams in one sitting. This enhancement will help minimize applicant touch points and trim down scheduling turnaround time.

Image viewing and downloading
Tired of spending time converting images to special file formats? We give you the ability to download images** in PDF or TIFF format based on insurance account specifications and order type.

Search tool enhancements

Searching for cases just got easier! The Quick Search customization option now gives you the option to search by email. The email field will be available to all users when customizing their quick search option.

Agency/Agent users profile notes (Special Instructions)
Got special instructions for your order or are you a case manager that needs a copy of the paperwork? The agent and agency profiles have been enhanced to accommodate a Special Instructions section. This section is intended for paperwork handling instructions and/or general instructions associated to your orders. Once added, these instructions will be on the order for internal users and examiners. Any provided notes will also print on the work order utilized by ExamOne’s field collection force.

Scheduling the exam date
Is locking in a date and time with the applicant challenging? ScheduleNow™ is a real-time appointment-setting tool that allows you to schedule the paramedical appointment at the same time you process the application. Recent improvements to the scheduling platform allow you and the applicant to quickly identify the best days and times to schedule appointments. If an examiner or exam center is not available, the date(s) and time(s) will be shaded out, making those non-clickable options for users.

If you do not have an online ordering account, go here for easy registration.
If you have an account that you suspect may be deactivated, please email Support@ExamOne.com or ExamViewSupport@QuestDiagnostics.com. You can also call Technical Support at 1.866.452.2663 option 1 to reactivate.

*Your company has to allow online ordering to be able to access the ExamOne portal.
**Insurance carrier must allow and enable paperwork access.
