Stepping up by giving back

ExamOne actively supports charitable organizations where we live, work and serve. We believe in giving back and encourage our employees to pay it forward by showing and sharing gratitude. Now more than ever, our communities rely on the generosity of our employees during these difficult times.

How our employees have stepped up by giving back

Making strides virtually for the American Cancer Society

Breast cancer is the 2nd most common cancer in American women, but diagnosis was down 52% as many deferred routine care early in the pandemic. Quest Diagnostics and ExamOne remain committed to sponsoring events like the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk to help raise awareness and funds. Our Kansas City team recently raised more than $4,400 for this organization. Even with the event being mostly “virtual” this year with only small socially-distanced local trail walks, our company team finished 2nd in the Kansas City area. By supporting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer our employees can help make a difference in so many ways, from funding innovative breast cancer research to simply providing a hand to hold.

Donating 10,000 meals to Feeding America

This May, ExamOne would have normally joined the life insurance industry at the national AHOU: Association of Home Office Underwriters conference. However, this year we had to show our appreciation for our clients’ partnerships in another way – by assisting our neighbors in need with a Feeding America donation of 10,000 meals to Feeding America.

50-mile challenge for Life Insurance Awareness Month

During Life Insurance Awareness Month, ExamOne sponsored a 50-Mile Challenge to raise awareness and $1,000 for the Life Happens COVID-19 Relief Scholarship. Employees stepped up to the challenge and tracked their movements on the Charity Miles mobile app and finished 1,900 miles in 2 weeks.

Helping protect hundreds at Rose Brooks Center

Early in 2020, we were pleased to kick off another year of giving by presenting $10,000 to the domestic abuse shelter, Rose Brooks Center. The Great Midwest Region of Quest, which includes the ExamOne Lenexa, KS laboratory, was the recipient of the Quest Diagnostics Quality Award and received funds to donate to a charity of choice. Rose Brooks is a Kansas City shelter that protects, supports and provides resources to hundreds of adults, children and their pets who need emergency shelter to escape life-threatening abuse.
