ExamOne has been serving our clients and life insurance applicants in Canada’s provinces and territories for decades. Our teams there play a valuable role in meeting the unique needs north of the United States border. We are proud to offer a broad menu of innovative services to our Canadian clients, including laboratory testing, paramedical exams, call center services, outsourced underwriting, and online laboratory results. Each year we recognize an employee as our Canada Ambassador who is instrumental in building solutions across the company and across borders. For 2020, our recipient was 15-year-tenured and Strategic Operations Director Julie Coull.
“Julie is a true team player while also being a strong leader. She has been instrumental in spearheading key projects for us over the years. Her ability to collaborate across the organizations sets us up for success again and again.”- Steve Kambasis, Vice President ExamOne Canada
Canada Ambassador Award
Julie Coull
What is the most rewarding part of your job? I particularly enjoy the opportunity to mentor others, celebrate community successes, put efficiencies into place to streamline Canadian processes, and provide leadership to staff. It’s very satisfying to see the results of our hard work throughout ExamOne and the community. For me, the single most rewarding aspect is the interaction with people, whether that is with my colleagues, staff, or the insurance community.
What’s something that has helped you be successful in your role? I have two tips. First, respecting my team and taking care of them. Second, get it done and move on, or in other words “don’t sweat the small things”. This is a burdensome and a time-waster and often deflects focus from more critical issues and tasks.
Do you have a favorite quote or saying? “One door shuts and another one opens, and you just kind of follow that path.”
What do you like to do in your free time? I love to be outdoors–camping, spending time with my family and dog, or watching my youngest son play baseball.
Thank you, Julie, for your commitment to Canada. Meet more of our award-winning employees here. Find out how to join our team.
