Ask the Expert: Covering your applicants across the globe

Account Manager Rebecca Shady answers questions about ExamOne’s international coverage and services for our life insurance clients.

How do I place an international request?
Send an email inquiry to: Csg.International@ExamOne.com then an ExamOne representative will then contact you for additional required information.

ExamOne will forward the case to the provider who will contact the applicant. In some instances, we may request the applicant to contact the provider to schedule their exam.

Please note: European exams are called “MD” exams, not “paramed” exams.

Which insurance companies participate internationally?
Please contact your ExamOne contact for a full list of participating carriers. Please note: In all situations, underwriting must approve testing.

How is pricing determined?
Prices are based on the provider, as well as international processing and handling.

Are there different guidelines?
Resting EKGs are available in almost every venue. Stress EKGs are only available in select areas. CBCs are not available, due to transportation time.

What is the process for translation?
ExamOne provides translations for most languages. Translation is charged at actual costs (costs vary by language and legibility) incurred by our translation company, plus a processing fee. An advance quote is available, when requested. We recommend to not translate laboratory values as these tend to be universal and can add significant costs. Turnaround time averages two weeks.
